FIOS is a fairy tale. I've been waiting for Verizon FIOS since I got Verizon DSL. DSL is the new diakup and Internet speeds are at a crawl due to the inherant limitations of copper and the propensity of every website to stuff everything else (ads, Facebook 'Like' buttons, et. al. whether we want it or not. Small wonder there's little room for actual data -- try playing newssource video without it stuttering. FIOS for the unwashed masses is pure vaporware. Verizon doesn't know when it will be installed and where, yet I **still** get 'buyme' ads for FIOS in my mailbox every week. If a store sent you an ad for something on sale and they had nothing to sell, customers would burn the place to the ground. Forget fiber. Fiber's a pipe dream and thestates's beem cabled up since the 70s. "Hello, Comcast ??"
